WWTP Biological Treatment adalah metode pengolahan air limbah dengan system biofilter secara anaerob dan aerob yang dirangkai dalam satu tangki. Tangki IPAL Biofilter ini terbuat dari bahan fiberglass dan dapat mengurai semua kandungan zat pencemar/zat polutan pada air limbah domestik, baik itu black water maupun grey water. WWTP Biofilter ini menggunakan kombinasi penguraian secara anaerobic dan aerobic, dimana pada tahap proses penguraian anaerobic, kandungan bahan pencemar lingkungan (zat polutan) yang mengandung : BOD, COD, Permanganat (KMnO4), Amonia, Nitrit, Nitrat, Khlorida, Sulfat, Zat Padat Tersuspensi, Deterjen, Minyak/Lemak, dll akan di degradasi/diurai menjadi menjadi gas Methana (CH4), Carbon Dioxide, Hidrogen, Amonia (NH3) dan gas Hidrogen Sulfide (H2S). Selanjutnya pada proses Aerobic WWTP Biotech ini, dimana aliran air limbah akan melalui biomedia aerob dan dari bawah biomedia diberi angin dari blower, sehingga gas methan, ammonia dan H2S akan dioksidasi menjadi gas CO2, N2 dan H2O, sedangkan gas H2S akan menjadi sulfat. Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah Biofilter ini sangat ramah lingkungan dan menjadikan air limbah hasil olahan dapat dialirkan ke saluran umum, yang kemudian bisa dimanfaatkan untuk menyiram tanaman atau dibuang ke sungai tanpa mencemari air sungai.
